Parent & Community news
The Beavers weekly newsletter is eagerly awaited because it shows us how the school and community work together. It makes us very proud of the way we can support our children and share in their successes. It also lets us share things that affect our lives and work on ways to improve them if necessary. We can do this through the very popular parent partnership section. We also have a termly You asked/We answered section on specific local issues.
Beavers Link with Industry
Sungard volunteers come into school, generously giving up their lunch break every Wednesday to help to develop our pupil’s reading skills.
Pupils have said:
“I can’t wait for the time to come. I feel special.”
“It’s fun. We read books and play word games. We get help with our reading from the staff who work at Sungard. They give up their lunch time to hear us read. They’ve even given us some Kindles with lots of books on them for our library”.
“They help make me better at my reading by helping me work out what words are or what they mean”.
